Lavender blossom Nespresso style

2022 – Nespresso has reported a spectacularly positive result for the collection of used coffee pods, with the Hungarian collection rate reaching 40 percent in the first half of 2022, exceeding the global average.

To showcase this result and to further promote capsule collection among consumers, we organised a full-day visit to the lavender fields of Pannonhalma for members of the press. This is where part of the coffee grounds from the capsules recovered in Hungary are used as a valuable growing medium. Visitors were able to see the result of the cooperation, the beautiful lavender fields in bloom, and learn more about Nespresso’s recycling practices and objectives.
